Frequently Asked Questions
The frequency of massage sessions can vary depending on your specific needs, goals, and preferences. Some general guidelines to consider would include:
Relaxation and stress relief - every 1-2 weeks or once a month
Pain management and recovery - your therapist may recommend 1-3 times a week
Maintenance and general well-being - every 4-6 weeks depending on personal circumstance
It is possible to feel soreness after a massage session, especially if deep tissue techniques are used or if you have muscle tension or knots. Any soreness is typically temporary and should subside within a day or two.
Massage therapy is typically covered under most plans, but this may vary depending on your insurance provider and policy. It's best to check with your insurance provider directly. Our Therapists are Registered Massage Therapists and can provide a bill of service for submission.
The level of undressing during a massage session is a matter of personal comfort and preference. Many people choose to undress completely for a full-body massage, but you can undress to your comfort level and leave on undergarments or any clothing you prefer. The massage therapist will ensure your privacy and only expose the specific areas being worked on during the session.
Some individuals may experience soreness, fatigue, or temporary discomfort in the areas that were worked on. It is important to communicate any concerns or pre-existing health conditions with your massage therapist to ensure a safe and effective session.
Not exactly- Lymphatic drainage, though incorporating some massage techniques, distinguishes itself from traditional massage. Administered by our Registered Massage Therapists, this targeted treatment employs specific techniques aimed at facilitating the movement of lymphatic fluid to address various health conditions effectively.
Facial buccal massage is a specialized technique that involves massaging the muscles inside the mouth (buccal)and along the face and jawline. During a session, you can expect our skilled Massage Therapists to use their fingers to access and manipulate the muscles from within the oral cavity, promoting relaxation and toning. In addition to massage techniques, our therapists may utilize essential oils, steam, or hot/cold towels.
This unique approach aims to enhance facial contours, stimulate lymphatic circulation, release tension, and improve overall skin appearance. It's a non-invasive and rejuvenating treatment that may contribute to a more radiant and refreshed complexion.
